I have a few rifles that I want to play with the size on but can't seem to find sizer dies at a reasonable price in 315, 316, or 317. anyone know where i can get some at a reasonable price? i found the ones at Buffalo and they want like $45 for them...i'm hoping someone else makes them for cheaper but I have not been able to find.

thanks

Eric

I would LOVE to see Lee carry those sizes in stock; you can order custom sizes for a small fee, I think. Having all sizes imaginable would be nice.

Contact Buckshot. He could probably get you any size you want for a good price.

It isn't to difficult to hone a Lee .314 sizer out to any one of those sizes.

exactly what larry said.
takes some time and effort but you can size up lee sizers easily enough on your own.
so you don't gotta look i'll outline it for ya.
wood dowell, slit cut in it, wet dry sand paper in a couple of grits depending on how much metal you need to remove, and some oil.
paper wrapped around the dowell, some oil, and roll across your leg till close. then finer grits till super close in diameter.
then to finish out nicely some boolits and super fine clover lapping compound , and finally some toothpaste/baking soda for shine.
you measure progress by pushing a boolit through and measuring it.
it goes pretty quickly actually.

Is it possible to do the same on lyman sizer dies??

I honed out a Lyman .313 to .3165.............it took a while but worked great.

Lead is somewhat softer than even mild steel. It's no problemo to turn out a die to fit a lyman or RCBS sizer out of mild steel. You could make several with a hole reamed to .314" and hone them out to the desired size. Nasty as it sounds, even a rough die makes shiny boolits, and will wear longer than you will. (P.S. you will need O-rings!)
