NICE!

My deer fusil this year is the 264's Scandinavian understudy, the 6.5 x 55 with 140 Partitions @ 2700 FPS from a Ruger 77R (45.0 x IMR-4831). I do like the ballistics of that 6.5mm 140 grain spitzer bullet, and the rifle likes every one of them I've tried (4 makers). I'm guessing with the bigger boiler room on the 264, you're up around 3000 FPS, eh?

Al; they do about 3020fps and are mild, the rifle has only been in my possesion for a week so it was a hurry up job, hardly any data developed, but seemed accurate from the get go. As time allows I will try some of the slow surplus powders, I also have 140 Hornadys, 160 RN Hornadys and a couple hundred 140 core-locks. My oldest brother showed up about a week before Antelope season opened and gave me a Win M 70 264 Mag, the old XTR Sporter, unfired in the box- beautiful rifle. He said it was mine ONLY if I killed an antelope with it- it's MINE!

Nice big rack, Scooter, though any loper is a great trophy. Good way to earn that .264, too. My brother just borrows money and laughs at my guns. You'll need to work up a good CB practice load to save that barrel for serious hunting.

Great rack 16/17 inches? I also have a soft spot for the 6.5's and the 264 has the potential to be one of the best. Now you need to start working on a cast load.
