Almost time to harvest target holders .
I use the Vote for *&%(& @ election yard signs as target holders .
Only good thimg about the BS every 2 years .

The carboard over a wire frame ones are best .
Just staple a target on , when shot up just pitch

The newer plastic over a wire frame are OK , need to tape on the target .

When Toledo trys to pass something , they use the best grade signs , heavy cardboard and heavy wire .
A Parks worker I know has to put them out and pick them up after.
After the election they then pitch them , last year they pitched 200 right into my truck :drinks:
All tied in bundles of 10 or so

I use those too, its a bear when you hit the wire. Great target holders though.

I used to harvest political signs to use as tomato stakes. Homebuilders signs work well also.

I like the metal housepimp signs, too. When the center is shot out, I fit in a piece of foam insulation, or I hang reactive targets in it. They go anywhere last for years, the metal stakes push into the ground easily and they are fairly wind stable. There is so much turnover of property around here that there are tons of them available. One house nearby was sold five times last year....

The Yankee in me does appreciate having something besides bad feelings left after the elections, though, and the campaign signs are great for setting out a bunch of at varying distances to practice for hunting season. The ones with photographs on them are the most fun.
