Ok, some of you guys asked for a levergun boolit bigger than my 465 grain so here you go. It drops at 528 grains naked and the driving band diameters are 0.463. The stepped GC shank is a snap fit with both Gators and Hornady's. The nose profile is identical to the 465 grain version. Alloy was 50/50 WW-Pb. I loaded up some dummies last night and tried them in my 450 Marlin and two different Marlin 45-70's. All was fine. I likely won't have a chance to shoot any of these til after our deer season wraps up at the end of the year.
Molds of this design are ready to be cut now. Please list the design as 463-530 GC and it will get done. I cast the boolits picture below from a 2C mold and it handled it fine in regards to heat. I definetly would advise no bigger than a 3C mold in a 4C block set.
In the picture below is a 465 grain boolit to the right of the 530 grainers for comparison. All boolits were sized and checked 0.4605 in a nose first push-through die.
