I received my first radio at the age of 14. I would lay at night and listen to the Country Music show from Wheeling, WV. It was one of those clear channel stations at night that kind of comes and goes. I can still hear "Your Cheating Heart" on a quite night though that was over 40 years ago.
The town of Oak Hill, WV wanted to use the building below as the Hank Williams Sr. museum.

In this picture my van marks the spot where his driver found him dead in the back seat. You can see where the gasoline pumps once stood. I drive by this place most every day. Thought I'd share it with the crew…….. Creeker

I sure loved driving through that country back when I took a trip with my grand dad from Sikeston MO to Richmond VA. We traveled US 60 as much as we could because of the historical placement of that road. Much like US 66 from Chicago to LA. My grand dad was a big time civil engineer, responsible for such placements, especially levees in southeast MO, northeast AR, plus the many drainage ditches from the swamp areas to the Mississippi. Some of the best beans and cotton in the country are now planted there. ... felix

That C. Adam Toney. His tire store use to be in the little service station. He is now on of the larger tire dealers in the state with several stores. And he does have wheelweights. Grin Grin.
