I've been trying to figure out a way to fabricate an inexpensive bullet collator to pre-load properly oriented bullets into a long tube for use with a Star bullet feeder.

I've seen some home made units that use a coffee can and a home made collator plate. I dont even need a motor on it...a crank handle would be fine.

I thought of purchasing just a collator plate from RCBS, etc. and build the rest of it around the plate. It would be used for 9mm conicals and 45 SWCs.

Any ideas? Anyone have one built they can share pictures of?

Thanks!

There are a series of 3 or 4 videos showing how to make the unit.

Remember the slide spring will only handle so much weight on top of it. I find about 30 bullets to be plenty.............Creeker
