I would like any information dealing with using dp68 in a .308 winchester that anyone has. I know there is info for .223 on the case, so I can assume that it will work for the .308...just looking for a starting place.

Has anyone ever tried it in the .308???

Haven't tried it yet, but planning on using it in my 308's. I bought it with the understanding that it is like AA2015br but found that I needed about 1/2 grain more in the 223, than I do 2015, with 55 and 62gr bullets.

Should be similar in the 308. My Accurate book liksts 37.4gr starting and 41.5gr max for the 150gr J-bullets. Its an older book, so you could probably check out the Accurate website for any up to date data.

One of my friends just purchased #8 of DP 68, but since he doesn't have a computer, I "googled" Data 68 powder and got Accurate Arms' site; i.e., 3 pages pertaining to DP 68: I didn't see loads for the .308Win. listed. However, there were plenty of loads for the smaller cartridges (~.22cals.), several for the 7.62 x 39mm and .30-30Win., the .444 and even the .45-70, but none for the larger bottle-necked cartridges. Maybe AA is telling us something?

I have those same pages Maven, even before I asked my original question. That is why I asked it here.

I'm sure that it works for .308, just wondering about a starting point. Going to look at the 2015 load data and go from there I guess.

Bubba, Actually my friend was using AA 2015 loadings for DP 68 in his .222 and .22-250 and got good performance with no pressure signs. I've used 2015 in my .30-06 (was very pleased with it), but I can't help you with the .308 as I don't own one.
