What would be the pro and cons of using a couple of PP for cleaning after a range day of J and boolits? I keep reading about the clean bores and was wondering if this would be a good way, fire 2-3 pp and then just a couple wet patches for powder fouling. No more scrubbing copper/lead? If this would work then why are there no commercialy available 'cleaning bullets'?

Never tried it on copper. Should work. Does a real good job on lead though.

Firing patched loads, at least with smokeless, does indeed polish the bore like nothing I have seen. My bores are like mirrors.
I did run some lapping compound on some for really neglected bores.
I'm convinced.

I wonder how a bore polished with PP would behave with copper jackets? Less copper fouling? My rust textured two-groove No4 doesn't copper foul at all after fire-lapping but then I do apply a waxy-lube to the bullet base and chamfer so there is always a layer of lube in the bore
