CB Black Bear

Added a black bear to my CB portfolio. Went Up to visit a buddy in NY and do some hunting. Smoked this boar at 35yd with the Lee/blaster 12ga doe hammer. Went out cold on public land. hiked for a couple hours, found a spot with tons of bear sign and set up the climber. The first evening didn't produce. Went in got, smammered with old friends then headed out 10/10/10. Same spot. Waited, waited,waited. Got bored. Pulled the grunt tube out of my hunting bag. Pinned the reed on fawn and made some dieing fawn sounds. This bruin came straight in, immediately. Watched him from 70 and he turned broadside at 35, One doe hammer through the pumpstation dropped him in his tracks.

Good going! Around here this time of year, it is good to look for blow downs, and giant gopher mounds. Hang around them, you will likely find a bear getting ready to den!

I wanted to try to get another bear this year, this time w/ a cast boolit. But they filled the quota before I could get some time off. Congratulations, jmsj
