Team.

I have been fortunate enough to be loaned a Lyman 31133. Essentially a HP version of the 311008. Aren't they just beautiful?

I have worked up a load for my suppressed Martini and this has been the result at 50m/55y.

Load is air cooled wheel weight, poly wad (LDPE), 14gr H4227, moderate crimp and a CCI primer. Velocity is 1850fps!

Away wallaby hunting next weekend and will field test. I imagine ACWW at 1850fps will be rather convincing.

I had a 31133 or "33" as I called it, when I first
got into casting and like a dummy, I sold it.
Maybe someone could get MiHec or NOE to
do an exact copy of this boolit

Good morning
Well that ought to flip a ground hog right on over !

I have used the solid, GC'd form of the boolit, 311316, at 1600 fps +/-. It will cut a large grey squirrel in half. I don;t know how big a wallaby is, but the damage is sure to be impressive if under 20 lbs.

Indeed that is a very nice looking batch of hollow points . The critters oughta be impressed !

Like Bret, I use the GC form of that bullet; 311316. cast of WW/lead at 50/50 I load them to 1850 fps in my .30 Carbine and HP them with the Forster HP tool. With the 18" twist they are very accurate and very deadly on coyotes. I also use the 313631 which is the GC 105 gr SWC for the .32 H&R. Both very good bullets. Your 31133 should do quite well...waiting for that hunting report:-)

Got a couple of the "33s". They're a gem in the .32-20 or the .30 Carbine Ruger. Don't see why Lyman let that one go. The 311008 HP'd is pretty close though in case somebody just has to have one./beagle

Loverly cast bullets there Jeff! I really like the 31133, but mine mostly gets used in a S&W Model 16 .32 H&R Mag at about 1100 fps. Your load should whack a wallaby rather nicely, I would guess....

Many of the other members of The Mid-Caliber Maniac Contingent have checked in here, so I'll add a bit as well. Right nice looking boolits ya poured there, NZ! Superb grouping, I might add.

Solid point #311316s at 1600-1850 FPS will dismantle jackrabbits decisively. Not like 22-250 Red Mist, but still pretty destructive.

Jeff, You have got to love those little martinis.
I have never seen the mold, but have always thought it would be a wee beauty for the 32/20. I am looking at building up a 30/357 mag on a mod 12 martini. Have every thing but the reamer.
Anyway that boolit will surely work on those roos. Have a good trip south on the walaby hunt.
Cheers Euan.

Beagle , it's easy to understand why Lyman let that one along with others go ...... they don't have both oars in the water .

I too have the 311316 and the same load under a solid is a very convincing killer. Lordy the HP's are going to drop game.

Jeff --

How much of a crack do you get from that suppressed Martini with that bullet at 1800 fps?

'bout the same as a .22RF, maybe .22WMR. Very tame. SWMBO mainly uses the wee Martini as she is a 'southpaw'.

Oh, I am taking my .40cal cap gun also and going to try out your .40cal Minies!

I tried to contact you yesterday but am new on the site and am still trying to figure it all out.
Anyhow, I have some once fired 32 HR Mag brass that you can have for postage. I haven't counted them but a guess is about 100 or more.
