It's getting there,,,,, Slowing down the tempo helped a lot!!!
Still have one side on the 405 gr that has some frosting. At first I thought I might have gotten some Bull Plate in there inadvertantly. But the (mostly cosmetic) spot isn't always in the same position, but to be sure I stopped and clean with degreaser).

Beautiful !!

The area between the cavities will get hotter than the outside because there is hot lead on both sides of it. Usually closer to the top of the mold too. A little frosting means that you are running full tilt production.

I was sorta guessing that, as thats where it occurs most, right on the inner seam line.

Actually they look great, They have to be the best looking bullets I've ever seen from a complete newbie.

Yeah Rick,,,,Plan is to take a day off from the holsters this weekend. Besides being Pheasant opener, the .45-70 needs to get worked out, as my son wants to use it for an elk hunt in CO., and they leave here on the 20th I believe.
