I am looking @ a .36 ML derringer on gunbroker.com.
I wonder what ball to get for this gun (if I buy it).
Muzzle Loading my New Army has been a good experience.
I think I want to be shooting a "brace of pistols" with the 6 gun then this "Snake Eyes" derringer.

Is this a good Idea?

It should use .350 balls. If you want it try and win the auction. It wouldn't be something I'd want though. To each his own. The New army is more my taste.

Those snake eyes pistols have no rifling.
They can shoot into the side of a 55 gal drum from about four feet, if you are careful.
They also have no sort of a safety notch to hold the hammer from dropping and are very dangerous to carry loaded.
The company that made them was in the next town over from me and they were very common at one time.
I wouldn't buy one except VERY cheap and then only as a wall hanger or paper weight.

SO then do I patch the balls?
