The Ranch Dog 311-165 mold came in the mail a couple of days ago.

Probably did a lousy job of cleaning, casting the WW/tin and the cast weights were all over the place: 164 to 166 gr. A bunch were around 164.7 and another bunch around 165.4. They were around .313 and I squeezed them down to .309 in the clever Lee Sizing Die. Loaded up a couple, three from these two weight groups for my .308 with 22gr AA5744 and a couple with 24gr. Took about three rounds to get the seating where I thought it ought to be. So I had two boolit weights, two powder charges and three seating depths.

Took these rounds to the range. After shooting a bunch of jacketed rounds I shot the RD's through the Chrony to check the speeds for the two charges (~1700, 1900). Except of one flier they all went into an inch at 100yds. The flier was an inch away.

Hope they keep acting like this.
