I didn't see it here and thought some of you would like to know, Joe passed away yesterday after a long battle with prostate cancer. May he rest in peace.

I read the statistic on jawjaboy and I see he was 61…

I am a couple of years younger than he was and I too am fighting the battle with prostate cancer—been clean for 3 years after surgery, steroid treatment, chemo, and then hormone therapy for another 18 months…

Many things have opened my eyes in life, but a health issue is right up at the top. I have come to understand that if one has good health, he has almost everything he will ever need in life (a sick pun in a serious writing)…

Get the blood work and checkup guys. I had no symptoms and my PSA never got above 4.7. I was in the later stages and it had left the prostate. The cutoff on PSA, since I was informed of my cancer, is now 2.0 if you are over 40 years of age. It used to be 4.0 if over 50 years of age...

Hopefully someday ALL damn cancers will no longer exist…

I am assuming he was the same JJB over on GT. Read many of his post there if it was. I can say I enjoyed his post and comments.

Sorry to hear of his passing.
