compared to lee alox for accuracy. I can get it by the 5 gallon pail at work. Just wondering if anyone has put serious time on the bench using it and how well it worked.

I thought Cable pulling lube was for sizing cases Not a bullet lube?

Starrbow is right. It is more in the line as a case lube for sizing not a bullet lube for cast bullets.

There are 2 types of pulling lube.
One is an emulsion of wax in water, the other is a polymer.

The Lee Case Lube works very well as a bullet lube for mid-range pistol bullets. It's much less messy to work with than Liquid Alox. I haven't gotten around to trying the cable pulling lube, but almost anything will work for .38 WC and .45 ACP.

Lloyd Smale .... I've been using Gardner Bender Wire-Aide for most all my pistol bullets for about ten years. That's .38 S&W, .38 Spec. .357 mag, .44/40, .44 mag, .45 acp, .45 Colt, & probably a couple more that I can't think of right now. Also the .38's & .44's are fired through rifles with the pistol loads. Use the same as Liquid Alox. It's a lot cleaner & dosen't have any smell that I can detect with my busted up nose.
If I have to size in the lubrisizer I go ahead & lube at the same time. But most of my stuff is fired unsized so I make use of the GB.

I did the first part and bought a litre of it and an old saucepan and deep fryer strainer at St Vinnies, but then my life got turned upside down and no doubt will get it all settled in a month or so and try it. I was going to use it for case lube. Mick.

The G-B slop is only one of many Moose --- products available for aids in pulling wire.
As a wireman for over 40 years, I have been exposed to most of them, including cull grade talc, [AKA bath powder] and most of the name brand products.
So far as I know, none are really toxic, however, none are something I would use on cast bullets or brass cases, there are just so many other , tested , products available from a lot of vendors.
