To do what with?

90 gr PB SWCs at 800 fps are very nice plinking and small game bullets. 80 to 160 gr PB bullets are good for plinking, casual target and small game hunting up through 1400 fps. 100 - 150 gr FN or SWCs are very goos at 1500 to 1800 fps for small game and varmint hunting. 130 - 220 gr bullets at 1600 - 1950 fps make for very good target shooting out to 300 yards and specialty loads with 160 - 220 gr bullets upwards of 2100 fps can be made for hunting or target shooting. Some HV loads can be had above that but it takes some knowledge and experience along with the right bullets.

I would be using it for off hand paper punching, killing cans, and the large varmits that try to eat my dogs, bob cats, foxs, fishers ,coyotes, lots of coyotes. my back yard is a forrest. the reason I ask about the boolit weight is some twist like a certain boolit weight over others, my ar shoots 55gr. just fine, I shoot a 62gr. in it and it keyholes at 50 yards.I think I will try 150grs. and go from there. I really don't want to go over 150 grs. I am over 70 and the recoil is kind of hard on the old bones. :)

I use the RCBS 30-150-FN with best accuracy very good success on varmints and small game up to 1950 fps in my 10" twist .30 cals. In the .308 I like to use 4759 or 4227 with a 1/2 gr dacron filler. I cast them of 50/50 WW/lead and HP with the Forster 1/8" HP tool to 3/4 the nose length for excellent terminal effects on varmints.
