Top punch question

What top punch do you guys recommend for the Lee 500gr pointed boolit?

Bubba: Lyman top punches are interchangeable with RCBS. For the Lee 500-3R bullet, I use the Lyman 132 punch.

Fold some aluminum foil - put some lube on it, put in the punch cavity and it forms perfectly to the nose of the Lee 500-3R. The bullet never knows the difference and works like a charm.

I use this punch and aluminum foil for all my spitzer bullets. Same foil deal for different punches to shape to multiple bullet noses

If you like to have a top punch that is fitted to each bullet you use (talking about the round nose .45 BPCR styles), buy enough 457658's do 'em all. It is shaped for the Lyman spitzer, with a real sharp point, so it's deep enough for anything.

Then fit a top punch to each bullet style using hot glue to custom-shape the nose cavity.
