So a coworker of mine who is anti gun and was afraid of guns gave me a box of stuff from a dead relatives estate to sell, most of it reloading stuff, she stated quiet firmly that she wanted 100$ for it, this was last week. She about died this morning when i walked into her classroom and handed her 375$, signed slips for everything i sold, and the few things in the box i couldn't sell. She remarked on the honestly of the entire thing and i told her 99.9% of the time that's par for the course with gun nuts. left her with something to think about, she in turn gave me the things i couldn't sell, most of it was unrelated metal bar stock that i gave to the metals teacher but that leaves me with this thing, any idea what the heck it is, any ideas at all the lady swears it was used in reloading, i just sort of smiled and nodded figured i would ask the experts.

I have seen that before.
I think its a type of mold handle for casting.
It would be great for cannon ball molds.
Or any multi cavity molds when ladle casting.

Now I remember. They used that when casting pewter toy soldiers or something like that.

I'm betting you mount a mold in it. It looks like the distance and hole placement would be about right for a lyman 2 cavity.

I was thinking something made up to run a casting type machine or something semi/automated but that is just a guess on my part. Do I win?

Put it on the mantle and smile knowingly when folks ask what it is. Infer that you got it on your last trip to Roswell...
