It's that time again! Saturday, October 9, 2010.
Oil Capital Rod & Gun Club, north of Coweta, will host the 2010 match. After suffering devastating F2 tornado damage back in May, the new 100/200 range range cover has been completed. The range is open and operational. The benches are all intact but a little rough on the surface after sitting out in the blistering sun all summer. BUT, we're ready to go. The Rifle/Pistol club house behind the range was not damaged (rest room facilities in that building), but three other buildings were destroyed as was the rifle range cover and Range Officer stand. The buildings are in process of getting rebuilt. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to have decent insurance. The target holders and back back boards are in very good condition at both 100 and 200 yards.
I'm looking forward to seeing all my friends from all over the Great State of Oklahoma.
