I recently sent a letter to Winchester asking if they will produce a special run of 1892 Take Down rifles in 25-20. They replied with the statement they sent the comment/suggestion to their Product Manager.
If you are interested in this model and cartridge, please call or send a letter to customer service department:
Winchester Repeating Arms, 275 Winchester Ave., Morgan, Utah 84050 or call 1-800-333-3288 Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mountain standard time.
Thanks!
Jim

Sorry, but its gonna take me awhile to wear out my 1910 vintage one.

Those would be nice rifle, but like 4 fingers, my 1912 Model 92 (25-20) and my 1921 Remington Model 25 (25-20) just dont seem to wear out. But for the fellow that didn't buy such a rifle 45 years ago, when they were just cheap old rifles, would do well to buy one of these new Winchesters if they hatch.

Now a take down Marlin or a take down angle eject Winny so you could mount a nice low power low mounted scope, would be small game hunting heaven!

The Browning take down in 223 would be a nice bit of kit as well, 20" Bbl. 40" assembled, 6lb 8oz. Not as traditional perhaps, but still a top little rifle. Nowwwwwww, you could have the Bbl bored to 243 or 25 Cal for a lovely little rifle.

Hey FFOD what you describe sounds just like my Marlin 1894 CL in 25-20! All it needs is a scope and I'm working on that.

I saw a NIB one of those last year. It was as expensive as a new Marlin Cowboy(which is pretty impressive) and I had just spent a passel on guns and didn't feel I should throw more away, so I passed on it. Can't buy them all I guess.
