What is the working amount of lead that can be put in a quart pot?
I've found some used cast iron pots.
1 qt.= pounds
2 qt.= "
4 qt.= "
They are US quarts not the proper Imperial quart.

23# per liquid quart. With some room in a pot I'll call it.
1qt. pot= 15#
2qt. pot= 35#
4qt. pot= 80#
Depending on your comfort level with really full pots of hot lead and burner power a little more is possible.
Thanks Rob45

Using the old adage, "A pint's a pound" then one can say that
2 pints per quart equals 2 pounds per quart of water.
Lead has a Specific Gravity of 11.345, which means that it is 11.345 times as heavy as water.
2 x 11.345 = 22.69 pounds of lead per quart.
Wheel weight alloy has a Specific Gravity of approximately 10.9727. So a quart of wheel weight alloy should weigh about 21.95 pounds per quart.
