I fired up the RCBS furnace for the first time in many moons. I did about 15 lbs of 150 gr 357 boolits and some 44 cal boolits in less than 3 hrs. Once, I got all the technique down and watched for trouble, I was in the zone.
I have been reviewing all the posts and the books I have on hand. Once I got it in gear, I was a casting monkey. I kept the radio on and I figured I did about 4-5 casts with the 4 gang mold per song.
Not sure how much the hot plate helped but I got good boolits on the 6 or 7th throw.
Have a good weekend. Already planning the next session, some 270 and 320 gr 44 cal SSK throwback boolits. Should be fun
