I have a Williams receiver sight on my Win 30.30 and use the original front bead sight. I am looking to change out the bead sight with a square front post sight but have been unable to find one. It seems that I have seen them in the past but now that I am looking for one I can't seem to locate one. I have done a quick check on Brownells, Nathchez and Midsouth to no avail. Does anyone have a recommendation?

If what you want is a 'Partridge' style front post, Williams might not be the place to look. Seems they have gone to the 'Firesights' almost exclusively.

Lyman and Marble also make a lot of styles, but most that I've seen are 'bead' shaped.

You might check at Midway. Start here... http://www.midwayusa.com/ebrowse.exe/browse?TabID=9&Categoryid=15959&categorystring=10636***10561***703*** ...and work in from there.

Check Track of the Wolf, they sell sights for muzzleloaders and old rifle and have several styles of blanks that make up into a nice post for a lever gun.

XS Sight Systems sell a nice plack post with a white stripe running up and down. Marble sells a Sourdough Patridge with the brass insert at an angle on the top. Either of these do just fine on the range, with the stripe or insert blacked for target use. For the field the blacking can be removed.

Brownells sells both of these front sights.

............Also check GPC. They sell a lot of old stock sights from various manufacturers and some are quite reasonable.
