couple weeks ago I posted pics of the swage press I cobbled together, this one

I have made some improvements that alow me to remove the bullet without removing the die and flipping it over and using the press to push the bullet out. Now it will eject on the up stroke much like Swagermans press ejects on the down stroke of his challenger press. Thanks swagerman for the idea. here is what it looks like now

It is now easier and more convenient to use and I can adjust the die without taking it out of the press.

Ya it's more work, another process or several, I actually size the bullet three times, Once in the lyman lubrisizer to size .458", lube and attach the GC, need to lube first or the lube grooves will close up in the swage, then into the swage press to bump up the size to .4615" and then through the Star to final size to .460" but I think the results are worth it. Of course if I had hit the size right when I made the swage die I could eliminate running through the Star.

You really went and did it, most guys just ignore anything I suggest. :mrgreen:

Isn't that the berrys, automated bullet ejection.

Proud of your efforts to improve swaging....you have arrived. :drinks:

To ignore good advice would be foolish indeed,:mrgreen: besides I like the looks of your setup so much that I had to duplicate in some manner.

I think it needed more light, was kind of dark. But it got the point across.

Dragonrider, the red Lee Press I showed you on my bullet ejector was not a Challenger Lee press, it was a Lee Classic press...very big difference in linkage strength.

But who knows, the Challenger press might work with it too. :D

sometime I feel a bit stupid....
I was planning a cumbersome and hard-to-realize lever device attached to the die (not still knowing exactly how) for my 9mm-to-9Makarov swager but, after seen your photos, I realized that there was a more simple solution.
Only one question: why the flat arms are so wide?

Hi, Enzo. The wide flat bars are purposely made for my being able to get my ham size fist into the small bullet placement area.

And sometimes, you have to put this device on maybe a different reloading press, just cant the angle to whatever direction it works best in. Thats the only reason they are a bit wide.

I do recomend the attachment coller be at least 1/4 inch thick, this gives the hex screw or bolt something to stand firm in while pressing against the reloading press's ram.

Thanks for the photos, Swagerman (and sorry for delay to reply to your post).
I have a question about something that I didn't noticed before: the locking device to the press arm.
I was thinking that the hole in the center of the flat bar (the one in the bottom) have a screw thread corresponding to the bullet-lifting element (I don't know his name in english) that is secured to the press arm in a similar manner than standard shellholder. So is how I would have done it, but you have built up a different device.
Please, how it works?
