Goof Ball. Just to bee different.
I bought a dozen golf balls. I am going to put them on the 25 yard line and see how many I can hit with 12 shots. Then how many shots it takes to clear them all.
No targets to mail, just post here.
You can use anything...tomatos, potatos, wall nuts, pumpkins...... Just include what you used as targets and post your results here.
25 yards for rifle and 25 FEET for Peestol.
Must be cast boolits to enter. Any sight.

Dang! Everything around here is paper targets only. :(

So Draw a golf ball and shoot at the paper. Same thing, How many did you hit out of the original 12 and how many shots to get em all.
I hope to shoot mine this weekend.

This kind of match is why we have the Mojave Desert so close at hand. I'll probably use charcoal briquets, a thing that addicts kids to shooting like few other reactive targets.

Here is an idea for you also. Use ice cubes at 25yds with open sights only, offhand. We used to mandate using 22 shorts to increase the degree of difficulty. My Browning lever gun worked well for the match as 22 shorts was all it ever grouped worth a darn anyway. On a hot day, it didn't pay to be a slowpoke.

Nice idea of the brickettes.

Ok, 25 feet with the 1911. Load was a 200gr swc (HG 68 BB clone) lubed .452 with Blue Angel, 4.9gr of WST. Avg 840 fps
Took 13 shots to get my 12 hits. I need to make some darker circles, these were getting a little hard to see. Circles are 1.75 inch (pretty close to a golfball, but I don't get to skip them in front and make em jump).

A golf ball is 1.68, so that gives .035 on a side to your 1.75 inch circles. The only one that's close is #5, and I believe that would have made it.

I was at the indoor range for the first time in a looong time. They had these nice targets with small circles. After adjusting the sights, I shot this one. 13 shots to hit em all. Circles measure 1.410" Distance was 25 feet, S$W K38 6" barrel. Wadcutters over 2.7 Bullseye.
