Here's my informal test using my CZ 75 and 358-125-RF boolits. Top is 45/45/10, bottom is straight JPW. Target was at ~15 yards, gun rested.

Leading was minimal with both, but left quite a smear of wax in the barrel that came out easily enough with my brush. Barrel was cleaned between tests.

I like the bottom target better. main question is which is easer to apply? and which will not leave build up on the seating die.

I see it as no real difference. It would take ten or more such pairs of targets to get a true picture of the comparison. But my own strictly subjective opinion is that straight LLA, straight JPW or a mix of the two are just about equally good.

(Some would say equally bad, but I have had nothing but good experience with LLA and JPW alone or in combo.)

I agree that the straight JPW seems to group better, but only marginally. Both leave quite a bit of wax smear down my barrel, but it cleans right out with a brush. They also gum up my seating die something fierce. The JPW took about an hour to fully dry under a fan.

1. Use less than you think you need. When done, there should only be a slight amber color present, not a sheet of wax or LLA.

2. Let them completely dry. I cast and lube in batches so that it is days, weeks or even months before I load the last batch of bullets.

3. Dust them with a very light sprinkling of mica, talcum powder or (in a pinch) cornstarch. It will remove that last bit of tackiness so your seat die stays clean. (Cornstarch absorbs moisture from the air, so don't let bullets sit exposed if you resort to using it.)
