OK Pat,
You are home I would guess as you are posting again so where are the pics of the "BIIIIIIIIIIIG" (big) fish you caught?
I always hear about all of the big fish in Nor Cal waters but no pics.

I was to tired to fish. Got a few little catfish one night and through them back. I'll do better next time ...

so it was a successful fishing trip? You came home with nothing but empty beer bottles and potato chip and jerky packaging?

It's good to hear they haven't outlawed fishing in California yet.

The big ones are on the east coast.

How about a 95 lb Cobia?

Yes it was caught from the beach - right out of the surf right behind my son (he's 6'2" BTW).

Pat Is it true you must use ROCKS for sinkers now as they are environmentally friendly?

I don't think they're allowed to drill holes in the rocks due to causing undue sediment...

Now it's "Fish Porn Time" at Cast Boolits. Some nice work there!

Not only do I use LEAD for fishing sinkers--I use scrapped boolits for just that purpose. A drilled #452374 makes a right nice sliding sinker for plastic worms on a Texas rig. Just a note......pure lead is a LOT easier to drill than 92/6/2 or Linotype. FWIW.

The humaniacs and tree huggers are trying their best via MLPA to destroy sport fishing along the CA coast. Google that acronym, and prepare to be sickened. These freaks call fish "sea kittens".

............I find all my fish in the freezer section at the supermarket. One kind of fish is Gorton's Beer batter, and the other is Van De Kamps Beer batter. And the best part of fishing there is that just down the isle is where they keep the ICE CREAM!

You can catch fish at the supermarket? I didn't even know that there was a lake in there. Freezer section huh? Must be ice fishing........Ice fishing in California, I learn something new every day!
