Labor day weekend usually means the start of cooler weather and hunting season. It is also a time for many of us to heat up the lead pot and do some casting. I just wondered who could claim the title of "MasterCaster" by casting the most bullets this weekend. I know I can't I only cast 200 of the Lee 309-113rf for my M1. How many have the rest of you done?

If I hadn't been working right through the weekend, 15 hours door-to-door Friday through Tuesday, I would have cast a bunch....but no go.

I reckon I'm just an interested spectator on this one.

All told, 650 of the new TCL432-285-RF, 79 one-pound ingots from various sources of scrap lead, and 6 five-pound scuba weights for my brother in law.

I sat down for a bit this morning with a SAECO #353 and the new Lee 20 bottom pour. I'm starting to develop a little technique. Rejects were way down, about what I would expect with my dipper.

156 pours, 300 keepers and 12 rejects.

I doubt that is going to hold up with this crew.

I've cast 22,000 this weekend. What did I win?

Shoot the 3 piles I have on the bench MAY add up to 1000 .
But I spent most of the week end shooting doves, geese and teal .
Us Crazy duck hunters have to do something other than cast Boolits

im not entirely in last place.i didnt cast any but i did go to the tire shop and pick up a bucket and a half of WWs. the half bucket i had to rake from under the tire machines with a bent wire and dig out of the corners of the shop. still got a month before it cools off here. 100 sat and 98 sun,too hot for me to turn the heater on.

I've only just begun casting for the first time, but I'm off to a pretty good start--over the past three days I melted down 1.5 five-gallon buckets worth of WW into ingots, and cast somewhere between 700 and 1000 bullets.

Fall moved into Houston,Tx this weekend amd dropped the temp to 85, so I cast up some LBT .431- 290 LFNGC (4 cav) and MM .431-320 WFNGC (2 cav) and some NEI .511 -465 KT (5 cav) about 500 bullets total.

Did a little over 90,000. And even had time to go shooting on Monday. But I will admit I forgot it was labor day weekend. Happy shooting!!! Was a little annoyed with myself cause I also forgot our cowboy action shoot was this weekend to so missed that.

I did about 1500 Lyman 358477 in a 4 cav. Have to keep my daughter-in-law in 38's so she brings the Book Ends down to visit Gramma. She goes through 100 38's in one of my Mod 28's every session. Thank God for the Dillon!

I got up early a couple mornings last week and cast some boolits before I had to do my chores. Sure is nice to cast when the mornings are cool. Probably cast about 800-1000.
