Nada, zip, no change. Put about 50 LRN through my Sig and had that hairy, smeary thing going on. On a whim I put a FMJ downrange (WOW that thing is accurate) and...still had the fur. It's like I was still using lead.

Chris, if you're still getting fur in your barrel you need to work on you dies or let your boolits age-harden some.

I had spent hundreds of hours and with the help of this forum and ALOT of trail and error I shot over 125 rnds yesterday and almost no leading at all.Boolit fit,powder,and proper loading will get ya there.

Upon closer inspection it appears the 'fur' or strings are actually from the Alox, not lead.

I wonder if the leftover alox in the barrel still has lubrication properties?
