Tonight I took my lady freind and her daughter out to the store

So I see they have school supplys on sale , so I go over and pick up some pen's

I then see thy have 24 boxs of crayons for $ .20 a box with no limmit

So I get to thinking ......buy 50 boxs for $10 and

Seperate into 24 different colors
Melt and add either some of Lar's Alox or white Lithuim grease ( my old pistol lube )

To get the desired hardness ..............[smilie=1:

I guess my eyes glazed over for a miniute
Because the next thing I here is ......What are you thinking about ?

When I told them , one said I was a old warped man and the other said my mind had been poisoned by thinking of casting

I guess lead and casting has altered how I think 8-) 8-) 8-)

Considering the absolute madness currently in power across this once great nation, thinking like that is quite commendable to me.

When you mix all the crayons you end up with brown.

I get that with Alox(2138F and it's replacement). I saved .20 for one box and $10 for 50 boxes.

I'm glad to see that your mind can still stay on important stuff even while shopping!

Or you could color coordinate calibers. :kidding:

OK I like the way you are thinking

As I use the same Lee mould for both the 9 mm and 38/357
But sized differently

I could use the blue crayons for .356 , yellow for .358 , red for .360 :bigsmyl2:

As I like to make my lube up in bigger batchs
I would need at least 100 boxs of crayons to get enough of each color , maybe 200 boxs

I wonder what the check out people would think
If a balding mid 40's guy bought 100+ boxs of crayons :veryconfu :veryconfu :veryconfu :veryconfu
And a case of white lithium grease

Where was this? If in a national chain I'm in the swing to get some colored lube made up. I could code by calibre etc... for my ML stuff. .45 REAL, .45 minis, .50 REAL, .50 mini. .58 minis, then color codes for the roundball patches, then color codes for different alloy boolits, then code for smokeless lube for my Savage MLII smokeless ML. It's a long list of colors needed. How many colors in a box? I'm on the prowl. I'm OK and you're OK, It's the people who don't visit this board that are ..........

AHHhh, so many things to do and so little time, 10 ga

Color coding to caliber?? I don't know about your boolits, but most of mine hide the lube in the case.

Wayne, please note, I'm pretty much a ML kinda shooter. The boolits are right there where you see them until loaded in the gun or a speed loader or in a paper cartridge. Once in a casing it should be pretty obvious what gun they go in. It's before thay are "loaded" that I need to track them. Got MLs in 5 calibres and a bunch of different boolit styles as well as RB. 45-50-54-58-69 Now my head hurts just thinking about tracking all those boolits! Desperate need for color coded lube! Best to all, Bob
