Has any one here have this caliber and used cast boolits. It is very accurate with 55gr to 75gr jacketed bullets. I cast for all my hadguns and would like to try cast bullets in this 15" Encore barrel. I don't think that I have seen molds for sale under 85grs.

Pistolman, I have used lyman 245497 93 gr. GC in my 6mmTCU Contender carbine. I've not shot more than about 40 rounds using Trail Boss and 4895 Powders so the jury is still out. I've been Tumblelubing them with Lee Alox and sizing to .244. They shoot about 3" groups at 100 and chamber easily in my gun. I may need to open my sizer to about .245 but just haven't gotten to it yet. They do kill Prairie Dogs stone dead at 100. So far no leading using the Alox and starting 4895 loads for 100 Gr. jacketed. No chrony so I have no idea of velocity. RD

I have a Contender pistol (10") and a Contender carbine (19") in the 7mm TCU and use cast boolits exclusively in both with the 130 gr. gas checked boolit in front of about 20 gr of 4198. Both shoot and hunt very well for game up to deer in the 150# class on the hoof. These are not even hot loads.
I suspect you 6mm TCU should like a similar load with a 100 gr+- boolit giving you an MV somewhere around 1950 in that 15" barrel.

RCBS 95gr. and IMR4227 at around 13-15gr. should work well.

My Rem 722 has a 6 TCU barrel 60 deg shoulder. It likes Cast bullets like the 245 496 using 4198 powder. I recently got a SAECO mold to Cast 6mm bullets should work good also.
