Hi Guys,
I got my 40 cal bullets today, and i need some help and I am not for sure if anyone can help???????
I am trying to get all my pistols loads changed to Dupont P 5066, I ended up with 8lbs of it and I like the way it shoots in my 45acp. The data I got calls for 5grs for the 230 lead cast round nose bullet it calls for 2grs for the 9mm 124 lead, and 4 grs. for the 148 gr lead in 38. I think they quit making this powder before the 40 cals came out.
I would be great full for any help.
Thanks
G

Hello DuPont powder, ----yes may I help you----
I would like to load blank, blank power in my 40 S&W----
Can you please advise me on Min. and Max. loads for this Cal.
and if I tell you what bullet I am using perhaps a seating dept.
Hold on please--OK
Thats what I would do--don't fool around with a 40 Cal.

As for the calibers you listed, those numbers to me would mean nothing.
Are they Max. loads ? are they Min. loads ?
If they are in the middle and you just want to go bang they MAY ? work.
I think every pistol is different and loads should be worked up, Min. to just under Max.
1/10 increments --let the pistol tell you what will function and what is the most accurate.
No slam here--just what I would do.
