I have a Colt Courier .22 cal revolver. It has an aluminum frame and steel barrel and 6 shot cylinder. It has a 2 1/2 inch barrel and composite grips which look like walnut with silver colored colt discs with rampant horses. I have had this revolver for 30 plus years and have never seen another like it nor have I seen anything in gun books.
Does any body know anything about it?

Bob,

I'm not sure, but I think these were made for a short while in the 1950's. Your grips sound like the same type of material that my second model Woodsman had, I think it was labelled "Coltwood", they probably had a tough enough time trying to sell a nonsteel gun without calling the grips plastic.

Sounds like it could be a rare variant of the Agent.

That's my guess,

Robert
