Mick, why not just use boolits cast of pure lead and give the ends a bit of a smack with a hammer to "fatten" them up...Ray

I agree, but I use wheelweights, usually some culls that were doomed anyway.

Often, ofter a casting session, I empty the pot of alloy. Then, while mould and pot are still hot, I cast a few boolits of tape weights, close enough to pure. Over time, I have amassed a few pure lead slugs from each of my moulds.

I think it's 00 and 000 if they are the same size in Ausieland. I would take a mike to the store if I didnn't have pure lead. Gianni.
