has any one tried 240 gr tumble lube bullets in a 44 rifle at mag velocities? I would like to load hunting rounds with it. and would like to avoid the expense of using gas check bullets. I have a ruger 77/44 and cant get it to group very good with the heavy bullets. the 240 gr with 7 gr unique groups nice at 70 yards. Mag loads i fear lots of leading. Any info would be helpfull.

Works fine without LLA. Rub soft Felix lube in the grooves.

Just for fun I tried running a few of these bullets through the .430 sizer with a heated lube...and wasn't very impressed with the lube distribution.

I think lead chucker might have the right idea about just smearing a quality soft lube in the grooves.

I couldn't get them to shoot without leading in my 629. Granted I didn't play with hardness, just water dropped wheel weights, but I sold it and bought a Mihec PB mold.
