I read somewhere that magnum primers used in 45 colt and 44 rem mag opens groups up and do not get the best (smallest) group size
how do you think these affect these rounds
truth or bs ?????:holysheep

Depends . . . What powder, and how much? What boolit? Which gun, Which barrel? Lots of variables . . . when changing a primer lots could change, but with the right combo, you could get better, depends on where you start too . . .

The best way to find out is to load identical loads except for the primer. Load 2 sets of test loads, one with standard primers and one with magnum primers. Take them out and shoot them for groups. I never shoot less than 5 shots for group testing. Just another good excuse to do more shooting, like we really needed one....dale
