For the kids out there, "Mr. Ed" was a TV comedy in the 60's about a talking horse that would only speak to his owner. Not to be confused with the earlier "Francis the Talking Mule" movies. I suddenly feel old.

I wasn't feeling old until I read that. If "Mr. Ed" was in the '60's, it had to be the early '60's. IIRC, the Francis movies were in the early '50's.

I love the RI. Mines been custom tuned and triggered with Wolf springs by an old friend of mine that's a custom 45 smith. He was really surprised and impressed with the quality right out of the box.
My front site is low though. I need to correct that.

You guys are all nutz.
I prefer Pecan Brittle.
2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup water
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 cups chopped pecans
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon baking soda
1. Lightly grease a baking sheet and set aside.
2. Combine sugar, light corn syrup, water and salt in a large, heavy skillet. Bring to a rolling boil over medium-high heat. Add chopped pecans; continue cooking until the syrup begins to turn brown. Remove from heat and stir in butter and baking soda.
3. Pour onto prepared baking sheet. Cool completely before breaking into pieces.
Makes 16 servings.

I got to see the facility that we send our raw meat to, how they handle it and what they turn it into. I just got to see a small portion of this brand new, state of the art, and huge facility, and performed a few checks on some meat that was sent to them from our plant. Found some bones in the sample and put the whole truck "on hold." Now they'll have to put all of the meat through an x-ray machine and check it again. We don't like to put out a questionable product.
