Includes handles. Mould is used, but in EXC condition. Blocks are aluminum and unmarked as to maker. The only markings are:
MA50
1853
These numbers appear on both blocks. Handles are brass colored and may BE brass? Look very similar to Lyman's. Blocks are removeable. I checked the baseband of the cavity and it mikes .501"x.5015".
I don't know what the slug weighs.
$20 inc shp to CONUS.

I have a mould similar to that. It's one of the first TC marketed when they come out with their 50 Hawkens. It was made for them by Lyman. Out of pure lead, or near abouts, my slugs weigh about 370 grs.

Ifn you will get a snailmail addy to me I will releive you of that burden.
I have to see if I can get three different folks guns ready for a trip west for the grand forest dweller this fall!
Guess I am kinda assuming that we will get drawn.
If not, NEXT year for sure!

"Sold pending reciept of funds ".....Should this not come about, I would like to get in line. I loaned mine to someone, and I can't remember who.
They seem to like it pretty good, so put me down for "seconds".

Sorry Russ, I just completed the address on an envelope so I guess it is likely to go thru.
I am looking for something in 50 cal in case I get lucky enough to draw CO license this year.
I have 50 cal REAL molds and they just won't perform in any gun I have tried them in. They work fine in my 45, but then I gave the 45 barrel to my brother for practice gun!
Oh well next year FOR SURE!

I have a similar mould available in my "Cleaning house" thread. Mine has only had a handful of bullets cast from it, just to prove it worked.

Louis...Great!
Muzzleloaders are no different than any other gun, some will like a particular conical while it's twin brother won't work worth a hoot.
I have also found that some muzzleloaders will thrive on a particular conical from a particular mould, while that same bullet won't shoot worth a nickle in another rifle of the same caliber and twist.
Jim Webber (Shooter 575) once said it took 20 or 25 moulds, of the same caliber, to get his .58 cal shooting the way he wanted it to. So... finicky is as finicky does. What's a Mother to do?
Good luck with your new mould!
If it's just right, that style will certainly deliver the goods. I love that big ol' grease groove on the Maxi! And, this particular one seems large enough in dia. to give a good seal.
Cheers, Russ
