for my "found" lee .44 250 gr. FB mold. this is an old mold. doesn't even have pins. has "V" slots in it to keep sides aligned. wanna put out a pretty good traveling pill using titegroup, bluedot, bullseye. lottsa BE on hand. also, got in one a those good dippers from the CAR MAN. any advice on breaking it in/using it?

If this is a magnum I worked up to 9 grains of BE, 13 Gr BD in one gun. Both of these are fairly standard.

Change lube and it is 8.4 gr BE, 12.7 gr BD.

Another gun and it changes to 7.8 grains of BE, 12.5 gr BD with the first lube.

Change lube in the second gun and it goes 7.2 gr BE, and forget BD.

See, regardless of where the sweet spots are found for most people, your best accuracy is "probably" going to be found just before leading begins in your outfit. Which is why some loads that work well,eventually lead enough that you have to clean.

You aught to be in there somewhere.

My two favorite 44 Mag loads with cast 240-250 gr boolits:
8.5 gr Unique for plinking...std primer
22 gr 296 for serious work...mag primer
