I just sent funds for the 41 mag Keith mold in GB and don't even have a gun to shoot em in and thought maybe they could squeeze into the .401 sizer and then into 38-40 cases. Anybody tried that?

I have sized down 0.407" and 0.411" softer boolits down to 0.401" in a LEE push thru sizer. Soft works ok, but hard boolits will be harder to do.

Great news and thanks 45. Now I have two molds for the 38-40 if cylinder space is sufficient. I was expecting it might smear lead over the grooves being straight ww. I'm using a Star sizer which probably doesn't make any difference.

I think you'll have a hard time sizing down that far in one step in the Star. It will also over stress the unit.

Lubing them at or near full size and then sizing them down in a second operation would be a better way to go.

If you want to try it, use some case lube on the boolits first.
