View Full Version : Can anyone tell me what a 389417 is for?

The seller says that it is for a 41 Long Colt, but I don't have it in any of my lists. Also, from the photo, it looks like it is a straight sided plain base bullet. Not heel-base and not hollow-base. The picture of the box does show the numbers 389417, so he did not confuse the numbers.

Anyone heard of this?

Buy it quick, it's a "vintage" mold and very "rare"!

If you don't use it as is, it can be made into a larger size if the price is cheap enough. It's not listed in my info either.......

My Ideal catalog of 1949 lists the 389417 as a discontinued mold for the 41 long colt. It is a round nose bullet at 167 grains. One lube and a crimp groove. Best regards, John the toolman.

Thanks for the info. I have never seen a bullet for the 41LC that is plain based, but there is a first for everything.
