Just got done loading up 50+ rounds for my 45-70 Marlin GS and at about round 45 I noticed that none of these bullets had lube on them:groner:. I know what happened, I've been loading 30 cal boolits and there already lubed and gas checked, and it just didn't cross my mind. I'll be doing alot of barrel cleaning untill I get these gone. I went ahead and lubed the rest of the boolits so it wont happen again. :veryconfu

Smear some lube on the bullet noses and it should help.

Load another batch with lube and then alternate firing them. Maybe lube every other boolit will help...Ray

Shoot one lubed and then one unlubed, continue until unlubed are gone. It might help.

Why now pull them, lube them and reload them? Then no worries. I've had to back up farther than that before and then restart a project.

50 rounds ain't nuttin but a step for a stepper.
Pull em out and lube em.
I betcha can do it in an hour or so.

Yup, pull 'em all and lube 'em. Unfortunately, alternating lubed and unlubed will almost surely still cause a big leading headache-- tried it once, won't try it again!

Lee's spiel on their LLA reckon that they would remove leading left on the barrel..
try that, and if it doesnt work, take it up with Lee :) :)

I was loading two different calibers the other day. I finished the firs batch and then started the second, After seating the boolit on about the 50th. round I noticed I hadn't primed the second batch.:groner:

Brings up an idea for a thread, If you ain't done it yet, you will. learning comes from surviving mistakes. I should be smarter than most. Figgure a good way to clean lead if you shoot them 'cause it leaded when I shot them.
