I am looking for a good start load for the RD 454-290 FP in a 1894 LTD 45 colt with 24 inch barrel. The bullet has been sized .454 and has a BNL of about 23 to 24. I was planning on using W296, 2400 and H110 powder. I can’t find any information in the books and the start loads that I have come up with I am afraid may be too low. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
