Kid and I were watching this on you tube. It is bullets striking different surfaces in very slow motion photography. I have never seen any with this clarity!

I thought it was really cool. I especially liked the pictures of the projectiles going through the "plates" (early part of film) and seeing the shock wave of particles in like a controlled bloom spread out ahead of the projectile, sort of substantiates the "Flat Point" theory.
I also really liked the pictures of the boat tail bullets that hadn't settled down into stable flight before going through the plates, AWESOME! Those pictures must have been taken fairly close, like a matter of a few feet, probably under 25, maybe even closer. really enjoyed that, thanks.

I have never seen cloud formations like that in my life!! Is this for real?
What caused it?

The hollow points were amazing in slow motion and shot was really cool as well. Even seen some boolits being slung around.

That clip is really neat. I have wished for years that I could get some decent slow-motion footage of boolits exiting the muzzle for helping analyze boolit lube spinoff and base distortion, thought it would be neat to see if there is any wobble on muzzle exit, and also to observe how much gas leakage there is just before the boolit exits.

It only takes money and brains, right?

Clouds were for real. I enhanced only the sharpness with photoshop because I had a "kit" AF lens on the camera at the time. The holes in the clouds are caused by a very close Jet Stream. The fast moving stream was up against the heavy clouds, making them do vortexes like a paddle does to the water when propelling a boat in a still lake. ... felix

Slow motion shots of almost anythiing are always facinating. But bullets are cool just as they hit something.

I bounced around and checked out some of the other videos on the you tube and I found quite a few of pistols being fired. I could see gas escaping ahead of the boolits in quite a few cases. So we know that the base of the boolit was not sealed correctly and thereby some velocity and accuracy may have been lost.

Cool video!

After watching the lego video, one of my boys promptly built a functioning crossbow out of legos. I see more legos in the future.

Must have been video of my Astra A-75 40S&W using PMC fodder. Don't shoot worth a pickle. (6" GROUP @ 50')

Measured bore .403 / Bullets .399 Go figure. Was going to get rid of gun, but got a lee TL mold that drops .404 and she shoots like a dream.

Another handloader discovers one of the BIG secrets. Boolit gotta be bigger than
the hole.

Isn't it cool when you can make something that works better than some factory can? :-)
