Just ordered three new molds from Midway and, lo and behold, two of them I don't even have guns for. What does that mean?[smilie=l:

BTW, the two molds without guns are the Lee 457-405-FN and the Lee 452-228-1R. At under $20 a piece, I thought, why not?

This ever happen to anyone else? Guess I'm now in the market for a 1911 and an 1895.

Oh yeah... You're definitely a bullet caster. :bigsmyl2:

Edit: And I should add that it happens all the time so don't feel bad.

WOW, I've heard of a bunch of excuses for buying a new gun, but this is a new one for sure!

Tell us how it works and what line do you present to the wife.

Something like, "Honey I have 10, 537 -- .459 dia. boolits cast up and I'm plann'in on casting again on Thursday. Do you think I should get a 45/70 to shoot them in before we start having storage problems?"

Hmmmmm, that is a different approach.:redneck:

Keep us posted, this could really open up some new doors for the rest of us.

Keep em coming!

Crusty, it sounds like you've had a lot of practice making up reasons to buy another rifle. :kidding:

I must be terminal, I have maybe 50 or so molds for calibers I don't own, I have a sizers that are .001 increments above and below the caliber size, that isn't just one above and below, for the 457 bullets, I have 457, 458, 459, 460, 456 and 455. I have a Star sizer and a few Lee sizers.

I have three electric casting pots, a small pot for gas or electric heat and a dutch oven with a turkey frier for doing large batches. I must have 8 or 9 ladles.

Out in my metal working area in the shop I have one of those expensive shop carts with all of the drawers to put my molds. There must be at least 200 molds there.

I even have a mold preheating setup. It's a single electric burner with an iron tortilla skillet as the heating surface.

God I have it bad, :castmine:

I just purchased a RCBS 41-210-SWC mold from Midway. It was on clearance for something like $25 off. The catch, I don't own anything chambered for .41 Magnum, or any other cartridge that uses .410 boolits. Oh well, I have been wanting to get a .41 Magnum Blackhawk for a while now, and it looks like I found the excuse.

For anyone who is interested, the mold is still on clearance:

Midway had the Lyman 200gr .45ACP mold on clearance. I don't yet have a .45 ACP, but have mold on the way, have dies, and have brass. How much longer for the gun??
