Howdy All!

I have a Ruger 10/22 that I bought about 20 years ago new from a gun shop, that had (I assume) put the synthetic folding stock on it, it does not have any name on the stock that I can see.

Back in the early 90's Ramline was the after market supplier, and I bought a few extra mags (1 - 50 & 2 - 30's) and a hand guard for the top of the barrel. I also added the Tasco 3X12 40 scope on top of see through mounts. I also have the Ramline speed loader which you dump a box of ammo in, and hook up the mag to it, and squeeze the button, and it loads the fast and easy. I dropped the 50 round mag, a few months ago, and the seem cracked, so I'm not sure if it is any good, or if it could be super glued back together . . .

I have shot it maybe 2000 - 2500 times. I added the "pipe insulation" to the stock, since I have the high scope on it.

I'm thinking it needs to go, and want to try to sell it locally as a package, but not sure what is a fair price . . .

What do you think?

I think I would take the scope and rings off and sell them seperately. Most Ruger lovers would not want those high rings..
without scope,I'd think 200.00,maybe 250.00 with the scope.
Just a WAG,prices do differ in different locations on things, including firearms.
Now that more 'plastic' parts are being used in the carbines,an older one could bring more, you could use that fact as a bargaining chip for a higher starting price.

with out scope

folding stock and 3 mags and speed loader for mags

$350 is a fair price.

10/22 about $200
stock $75
30 rnd mags $20 each
50rnd mag $70 (may be low, not sure)
speed loader for mags, not sure

may get a few more bucks piecing it out but may not be worth it.

How about a pretty much box stock used basic one with a plain wood stock?

You can buy them used in the pawnshops here for 150-160 if you hunt for them.

If I were selling that, I'd ask $300, be happy to take $250 & settle for $200 if I had to. If I were buying, I'd offer $100 & hope to get it for $150 or less. I'm a bit of a cheapskate.

The 30 round mags are desirable to some people. The 50 round mags have a reputation for feeding problems.

The plastic stocks are liked by some people & not others.

Personally, I like those scope rings very much. They let you use the sights for a quick shot if you need to.

If you walk around at a gun show (like Crossroads) with a for sale sign on that thing, you will probably get some bites.

It looks like about $200.00 to me too. I'd ask $225-$250.00 & make them work for it. Really clean used 10/22s with cheap scopes are about $165.00 around here.

$200-$225 would be my guess...150 for rifle, 30 for scope 20-30 bucks for the rest.

OK thanks everybody!

I'm not looking to make a killing, just want a fair price for both of us . . . I may pull the scope and put it on my next 22!
