Local shop has a trade in in good shape $499. I'll probably pass but wondering about feed problems with 358429 or 358430 195 gr. 358629 & 180 EN Lee custom would be a lot to hope for.

Load some dummy shells with those and try them out.

My '94 Trails End in .357 Mag feeds the Lee custom (group buy Lar45 boolit) 180 grn WFN just fine.

Hope this helps,

My Win. 94 Legacy .357 mag feeds everything I have tried so far including the RCBS 35-200 FN seated to the crimp groove. It is also a consistantly accurate lever gun. I've shot the Remington bulk pack 180 Hp's through it often with no feeding issues, but don't have a similar mold. I have shot the RCBS 38-150 KT, and lyman 358156 through it with no problems. My go to load for larger stuff is the 358156 over a very generous helping of H-110. It shoots to the same point of impact as the bulk Remington 158 JSP, and both shoot just over an inch for five shots at 100 yards........ very good lever gun load, and fast too!

The 94 is a long action designed for the 30-30. It will feed the 358429 loaded to the crimp groove in mag cases just fine.

The only trouble I remember having is with short shells such as 38 specials with short oal loads.

The only thing that I have had any problem with, was a 110 gr JHP... my 158gr RN's (TL358-158-2R) work great... with both 357 and 38 loads.
I am replacing the front sight because I just can't seem to use the post very well,... getting a bead front sight... Then I may be able to hit the door knob on the of the door on the broad side of the barn,... instead of the broad side of the barn..:-?
Other than that, I love that rifle, and plan on putting lotsa lead through it...

Millett makes, or did make a bright orange post front sight for that gun that is wide, and easy to see in any light. They are the correct height for a receiver sight, and that is making a good combo for my old eyes.

My old one fed pretty much anything except Keith type wadcutters in 357 cases. It gobbled them up in 38 cases though.
