Saw on a thread about Dixie close outs on Challanger moulds.

Checked them out and got three I thought might work in my Snider. They all list at 585. Just got through casting up a few to see what they would cast at. Got lucky and they drop at 590-591. Which will do niceyl in mine. At least will fit the sluged diameter. Will have to wait till I do some shooting to see how they shoot.

They list as:
585-515 WC
585-460 Conical
585-315 SWC

I plan to take the base plug down till I get a hollow base about 1/8 to 3/16 deep. That works well in my 58 Musketoon.

Look nice. That full wadcutter on the left side of the pix would be a heck of
a short range hunting boolit! Or the world's NASTIEST hollow point if you loaded
it backwards!! :shock:

I thought that they were all conicals. Missed the WC description on the website. Came as a suprise.

My first thought was the same, close range hammer. The 315 swc I think will be a fun one.
