Here's another 45 2.1 design that I just proofed. The 433190 is a modified and scaled down version of the 454190. It is modified to include a small crimp groove. The intent is for the 44 Special, but this will also work well in the 44 magnum. Ladle cast with 50/50 WW-Pb, at 750 F, this boolit drops at 224 grains and is 0.433 diameter. It has a 0.656 OAL, 0.299 nose, and 0.220 meplat. Available now in all mold styles. The design will be added to my site on the next update.

Good morning
I would think that .433 would be GREAT in the fat throated older 44-40 Win. rifles and SRCīs.
The two I have (1893 & 1907) Both need .432 to shoot descently with a nice 8 grains of Unique.

For the last two weekends, I've been testing these boolits in my 44 Mag, Ruger SBH Hunter with 2x scope. Boolits are cast from 50/50 WW-Pb and air cooled for 10 bhn. Lubed with a soft HM lube. On week one I tried Unique loads from 800 to 1,100 fps. Nothing outstand at 25 yards from the bench. Most all groups went 1 3/4 to 2 ". Week two I tried both Tite Group and WW 231 from 800 to 1,000 fps. Much better results as both powders were shooting ragged holes of around 1". Still not finished with it yet as I still don't consider a load good til it will do 1/2 to 5/8" at that short range. Then it's tried out further. Bullseye will be the next powder to try when I round some up. Maybe some Power Pistol after that. I just might have to step on these some with 2400 and 296 if I get bored.

Very nice looking boolit BaBore, with 3 44's to feed it could be a player. Have you had any luck on the 7 m/m boolit ?

I haven't heard anything from 45 2.1 lately. Folks were supposed to have sent him throat slugs for measurement. Most times, and effort like this is like herding cats.

Folks want 7mm boolits, I can do a slug for a military M95 7mm easily. I need lead impact throat slugs for commercial guns if you want those.................... That herding cats reference is quite true.

This design looks real good to me. Are you going to try it in a rifle....preferably a MARLIN Cowboy rifle.

+1 on the TITEGROUP and 231 (HP38) for mid range 44 loads....good accuracy in my guns and economical....especially in 8 pound kegs from GRAFS.

Could you cut this thing with a GC also ?

I could quite possibly make a Hyper Velocity deer bomb out of it with a gascheck !

Nope. It's a plain base cherry.

Just order it. BRP has the cherry he just hasn't updated his website. Cost will be the same as his other moulds.

skimmerhead-

BaBore (Bruce) has been having computer problems lately. The home computer crashed and he has only had access to the internet at work. Send him a PM here at Cast Boolits with any questions you may have; and I'm sure that he'll respond Monday from work.

Hope this helps,

If you are reading this thread you know the diameter and weight.

Click on the link of any of BABore's posts and you get his website. That particular mould is not on his site yet but you know it's particulars and mould number from this thread. The website tells you how much one in 1 cavity, 2c, 3c, 4c, and 5c will cost. It also tells you how much the different hollowpoint options will cost. In addition it tells you how much shipping will cost.

As others above have already mentioned, this design is available and has been since 5/17/10. That's why this thread was started by me as I do for all new designs. I do not have direct access to my website as it was created for me by Cast Boolits guru's. I send them an update on a limited basis so as not to be a total pest. Maybe 2-3 times per year and as I get a suitable number of new designs to make it worthwhile.

CALM DOWN! People are trying to help you here. Pay attention to what's being offered as information. NO ONE is trying to rip you off or direct you to buy a bum boolit mold. MANY of us have bought molds from various makers and we've never seen the mold in person. We go by the dimensional drawings offered or experience of others who have used the same mold. I personally have bought 4 NOE molds without ever seeing them 1st. I'd do the same with ANY BRP mold I had interest in.

I own two of these BRP 433190 moulds.

What would you like to know about it above and beyond what is available here or on Bruce's website?

I would also be willing to send you a hand full to experiment with !

Here is a photo of one of the BRP moulds to show you the machining and design. Bruce's moulds are top quaity and he stands behind them 100% ! I own 14 !

Does anyone have any experience with this bullet in a 44-40 levergun. Just wondering about feeding, accuracy, fouling with goex, etc.
thanks

BRP sent me some to try out, I am hoping I get a chance this weekend. It looks like it should feed fine, the nose is very similar to other bullets I use. Will see how it works with BP. I have Uberti '66 clone, will see how it feeds in that. I am looking for something with a little more long range capability than my Big Lube's.

Thats what i was thinking as well. I am currently using big lubes however I am currently not involved with cowboy action shooting so I wanted to try a few different options before I order a mold.

Good luck, looking forward to hearing how it goes.

Greetings
Do not overlook the possibility of using this 433190 in a 44-40 SRC that is fat throated. Both my 1892īs have throats .431+. This is similar to the .427 200 Ideal mold I lapped out to .432 so it would shoot groups rather than barndoors at 50 yards.
