Still looking for loads for 7.62X39 10" TC. I have several moulds that I think will work. A lee 155 gr .312. A Lyman loverin 160 gr. A Lyman 130gr. A Lyman 115 gr. the Lyman molds are at least .309 or larger.
How well can I expect Unique to work with any of these boolits. I also have several other powders. 2400, H4198, IMR 4895, (a lot of H4831, probably not a good choice for the 7.62X39) expecially in a 10" barrel.

................Don't have any loads for the 30 Rooski Shortski in a TC. I do have considerable loads fired from a converted small ring Mauser if you thought any of those would be of use?

Buckshot: I may have to resort to that. I will keep you in mind.

I found 9grns of unique worked well for my 7.62 x39 CZ527 (bore slugs at .3215") with 165grn (173grn inc gas check) .314" bullet. 3-4" at 300yds using 4x scope. 1440fps.

I expect Unique will serve you quite well as long as you don't expect 2400 fps performance.

I have a 7.62x39 in a handi rifle and it does quite well with moderate charges of Red Dot. Mostly I shoot 4.6 grains, tried more and got no big increase in speed, with a decrease in accuracy and dropped back down.
